While Wednesday, Tim Burton’s new Netflix show inspired by Charles Addams' Addams Family, was anticipated to deliver gothic horror, it missed the mark. Instead of the spine-chilling scares fans of supernatural coming-of-age shows like The Vampire Diaries or Teen Wolf might expect, it ended up focusing on awkward high school love triangles and shenanigans. Despite the intriguing premise of Wednesday (Jenna Ortega) uncovering her psychic abilities and a dark family history at Nevermore Academy, the high school setting kept the show from fully embracing its horror potential. Wednesday season 2 needs to up the creep factor!
