40% of couples who got together in 2017 met online.
Looking at a larger scale, meeting through friends declined by 13% from 1995 to 2017.

It's wild how online dating has become such a big part of how people meet these days! I guess it's no surprise, with so many apps and ways to connect. That stat about 40% of couples meeting online in 2017 is pretty impressive, right? It just shows how things are changing fast, and maybe meeting through friends is taking a bit of a backseat.
