70% of the Earth’s Surface: Covered in Water

When man first flew into space, he turned around to look at Planet Earth from a distance with human beings’ eyes. Based on their observations, the Earth acquired the nickname the “Blue Planet: Well, it really makes sense because the greater part of our planet, namely 70%, is the ocean bottom! The remaining 30% is the solid upper layer that we call the continental crust.
