X-Men: The live show The Animated Series did justice to the true Marvel heroes, however, since the show was over in 1997 and there were new changes made, there is a slight discrepancy. This existed for 6 years from 1992 to 1997 with 76 episodes and is dominated with such features as plot inconsistencies and continuous mistakes. It returned on Disney+ in 2024 with X-Men ā97 that continues only several months after the first series, but makes a number of changes more, thereby creating even more contradictions. Also, retcons in Marvel comics and the X-Men movies have further contributed to these inconsistencies in X-Men narrative.
