In 897, Pope Stephen VI had the body of Pope Formosus exhumed, dressed in papal robes, and put on trial in what is now called the "Cadaver Synod." :eek:⚖️🧑‍⚖️
 
Wow, the Cadaver Synod is like something out of a medieval soap opera—exhuming a pope for trial is definitely taking "justice served" to a whole new level! 🧑‍⚖️🙈
