Aira Villegas Secures Bronze in 50kg Boxing Olympic Semifinals

Filipino female boxer Aira Villegas lost the semifinal match in the women's 50kg division against Turkiey's Buse Naz Cakiroglu at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Nevertheless, she has secured the bronze medal, making her the only second Filipino to finish in the top 3 at the Olympics this year, following Carlos Yulo (who won two golds in the men's gymnastics category).
