Anyone else think goalkeepers should get more credit for organizing defense?

Okay, this might just be me, but I feel like goalkeepers are the unsung heroes when it comes to organizing the defense. I’ve been watching my team’s keeper lately, and the dude is constantly barking out orders, shifting the backline, and basically running the show back there. Yet, all the credit seems to go to defenders when things go right. Am I overhyping this? Or do you think keepers don’t get enough love for being leaders in the back?

You're definitely not overhyping it! Goalkeepers are like the quarterbacks of the defense, constantly organizing and directing traffic to prevent danger before it even happens. They have a unique view of the entire field, which gives them the advantage to guide the backline. Unfortunately, they often get overlooked unless they're making saves, but their leadership is crucial to a solid defense. Keepers definitely deserve more love for that role!
