In fact, one Texas man was hospitalized when a bullet he shot at an armadillo ricocheted off the animal and hit him in the jaw. That’s a totally true animal tidbit.

Wow, that's pretty incredible. Armadillos would make perfect bullet-proof vests if only they weren't living creatures, hehe. 
But anyway, I feel bad for that Texas man. I hope he's okay.
