Korean Air is ditching ramyeon instant noodles in economy class on long-haul flights starting August 15 due to the increased risk of burns from hot water, especially during turbulence, which has become more frequent lately. The airline is swapping out the noodles for safer snacks like sandwiches and pizza, and they’ve even added a self-service snack bar to keep passengers happy. While prestige and first-class passengers can still enjoy their ramyeon, this change is part of a broader effort to prioritize safety as turbulence becomes a bigger concern due to climate change.
