Hurricane Beryl, formed on June 28, was an unusual storm that lingered more than 6,000 miles affecting Atlantic, Caribbean, Bay of Campeche, and the Gulf of Mexico with the making three destructive landfalls. Developing out of a tropical wave off the west coast of Africa on June 24, within two weeks Beryl emerged as a Category 5 hurricane by July 1 to hit Grenada and left much damage. It then persisted on its deadly course, destroying Jamaica, Cayman Islands, and then the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico before it hit Texas, particularly the Matagorda, on July 8. This storm included a great number of gales, downpours and the citizens of the USA were left without electricity: more than a million of people in Houston; the storm also caused tornadoes and floods throughout the country; Beryl, the last storm, gradually evolved into the post-tropical cyclone after crossing Canada and left behind the several records and the history of its formation. ⛈️
