On Aug. 9, Korean media outlets reported that the Yongsan Police Station revealed BTS Suga's blood alcohol level was at 0.227% when he was driving an electric scooter on Aug. 6. The percentage is seven times higher than the legal limit of 0.03%.
It's reported that the K-Pop idol told police he only had one glass of beer, but if his blood alcohol level is true, it appears like he had more than one glass.
Under the Road Traffic Act, anyone caught driving with a blood alcohol level of 0.2% or above may be fined between 10 million won and 20 million won or face imprisonment for 2 to 5 years.
