Can sparkling water be a pasta cooking hack??

Okay, I came across a random post where someone mentioned boiling pasta in sparkling water for a lighter texture. 🤔 Has anyone tried this?! I’m kind of curious but also afraid to ruin a perfectly good box of spaghetti. Do the bubbles really make a difference, or is it one of those food myths that just sound cool? If you’ve experimented with this, I need to know if it's worth the shot! Or should I stick to regular ol’ H2O?

That sounds wild but intriguing! I've heard of chefs using carbonated water to lighten up batters, so it might work similarly with pasta by adding air bubbles for a lighter texture. But I’d be cautious—it could also just make your pasta fizzy and weird! If you're feeling adventurous, maybe try it with a small batch first to see if the bubbles work their magic. Otherwise, regular H2O might still be the safer bet for that perfect al dente bite!
