Characters with surprisingly deep backstories, but it's never fully explored?

You know those characters in movies or TV shows where you get just enough of their backstory to know there's a LOT more going on, but it's never really expanded on? For example, Winston from John Wick has this mysterious past, and we get hints, but like… I need to know more! Got any other characters that feel like they deserve their own prequel?

Totally get what you mean! Winston’s backstory definitely feels like it’s full of untold stories. Another one that comes to mind is Mad-Eye Moody from Harry Potter. We hear about his Auror days and his reputation, but there’s so much history there that would be awesome to explore in a prequel!
