Charity Lawson, former "Bachelorette" and Season 27 contestant on "The Bachelor," recently revealed on the "Sex, Lies and Spray Tans" podcast that her time on "Dancing with the Stars" was far more challenging than she expected. Despite her background in reality TV, Lawson struggled with severe mental health issues and online bullying, including death threats, while competing alongside Artem Chigvintsev. She was surprised the show didn’t provide an on-set therapist and felt the racial discrimination she faced was even worse than her previous experiences on "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette." Lawson shared her story to highlight the lack of protection for people of color on reality TV shows.
