Starting a new game localization project made me realize how complex language selection can be. At first it seems logical to translate only into a few major languages, but then questions appear about regional markets and platform requirements. Some languages are needed for interface text, others for full in game dialogue and documentation. Managing this without losing consistency feels challenging, especially when the project aims to reach players in multiple regions at once. I am curious how teams usually decide which languages to prioritize during localization.
