In an interview with DJ Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1 on Oct. 1, Chris Martin shared that Coldplay will limit their releases to only 12 albums. That means the British rock band will retire after their 12th album. 
To date, Coldplay has 10 albums, including their latest collection, "Moon Music," which dropped on Oct. 4.
Martin revealed that the band's decision drew inspiration from the careers of other artists and musicians who also set a limit (like the "Harry Potter" books, and the albums of Beatles and Bob Marley).
Also, he said that he wanted his bandmates to have a life for themselves.
