Composer Defends Lin-Manuel Miranda's Moana 2 Absence, Hypes Mufasa Songs 🎶✨

Mark Mancina, the composer for Moana 2, recently addressed Lin-Manuel Miranda’s absence from the sequel, explaining that it would have felt "oversaturated" if Miranda worked on both Moana 2 and Mufasa: The Lion King. The songs that Miranda did with Mancina for the initial Moana, were good Mufasa however, the composer hasn’t watched the film yet. Those, he said, are “really catchy” powerful songs, which he is certain the fans will appreciate. Mancina thinks Miranda’s involvement in Mufasa will be good and thinks it was wise for him not to come back for Moana 2.

I think Lin-Manuel would’ve done amazing things for Moana 2, but I’m excited for the new direction too! Mufasa’s songs sound promising though.
