The first one was shot dead on 14th of July in the morning at Mongbung village, Jiribam district, Manipur, where a forty-three year old Bihar native CRPF jawan, Ajay Kumar Jha died by gun shots targeting suspected militants. He received fatal chest injuries due to the bullets, and his body arrived at the hospital already dead. Moreover, a police officer was also affected by this incident and succumbed to severe injuries that required his hospitalization; nonetheless, he is listed in stable condition, which means his life is no longer in immediate danger.
