Traveling to Italy post-pandemic was a mix of nostalgia and discovery. While many traditional tourist spots were less crowded, the local arts scene was booming. I attended a revived opera performance in Verona that was magical. The locals seemed eager to share their culture and history, making the experience deeply personal and enriching. On the downside, some areas struggled with understaffed services due to the lingering effects of the pandemic.
