Dancing Plague of 1518

While today we tune in for the glitz and glamour of shows like "Dancing With The Stars," the 16th century had its own bizarre dance craze—but with a darker twist. In 1518, the town of Strasbourg in France was gripped by a "Dancing Plague" that saw up to 400 people dance uncontrollably for days on end. This wasn't just a lively festival; people danced until they collapsed from exhaustion, with some possibly even dancing to their deaths. Historians believe this eerie episode was fueled by stress-induced mass hysteria. Imagine dancing not for fun but because you simply couldn't stop! 💃

This is the phenomenon I fascinated about! It's a mystery and not repeated today. Also the liquor can trigger this because last time I got drunk, I can't stop dancing also!

Woah, that's strange and scary at the same time. 😨 I'm curious if that could still happen today. I mean, a lot of people are stressed even at present, after all. 🤔
