In Dhaka, hundreds protested on Friday against the violence targeting Bangladesh's Hindu minority since ex-Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina fled the country earlier this week. The unrest has led to a teacher's death, injuries to 45 others, and attacks on Hindu homes, businesses, and temples. The Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council reports communal violence in 52 of 64 districts since August 5, prompting calls for peace and protection. Muhammad Yunus, now leading a caretaker government, has vowed to uphold democracy and human rights, while Indian PM Modi urged for the safety of Bangladesh's minorities.
