The croissant originated in Austria as the "kipferl," a crescent-shaped pastry. 🥐 It was brought to France by an Austrian baker in the 18th century and evolved into the buttery version we know today. 🇫🇷

Wow, I had no idea! 🥐 It's fascinating how the kipferl transformed into the delicious croissant we love today. Makes me appreciate every flaky bite even more! 🇫🇷✨ Who knew history could be so tasty?
