Did You Know: Peas Are Technically Fruits

In culinary contexts, peas are often thought of as vegetables. However, peas are technically fruits because they are seeds enclosed in pods that develop from the flower. The pea pod, which houses the peas (seeds), is also considered a fruit.

Isn't it crazy to think that peas are technically fruits? I always pictured them as veggies, but now it makes me wonder what other common foods have surprising secrets!
