Ok, so I just read about Lake Nyos in Cameroon and had my mind blown. This lake actually exploded in 1986, releasing a deadly cloud of carbon dioxide that suffocated nearby villages. Apparently, it’s one of the few lakes in the world where gases build up under the surface and can cause these massive, deadly outbursts. How crazy is that? I didn’t even know lakes could do that. Are there other lakes or natural places that can do something so wild?
