Acorn jelly is a seasonal side dish in South Korea every autumn. In the mountains, oak trees produce enough acorns during fall. 🍁🍂 The acorns are shelled and boiled for a few hours. The acorns are then ground into a fine paste that will be combined with water to create acorn starch. 🌰🌰 Afterward, the acorn starch is dissolved in water, and the mixture is poured into a pot and cooked until it thickens to a jelly-like consistency. 🍮

Acorn jelly sounds fascinating! It’s amazing how something so unique and seasonal can be made from acorns. The process from shelling to jelly is pretty impressive. I’d love to try this traditional dish—looks like a cool autumn treat!
