The producers of the "Harry Potter" films originally wanted to combine the stories from the books into one film. However, J.K. Rowling, the author of "Harry Potter," insisted on one movie per book.

It's amazing how much the series would have changed if that plan had gone through! Thankfully, J.K. Rowling's insistence on one movie per book allowed each story to be fully explored.
