Do music streaming platforms hurt or help artists?

While I love how easy it is to discover new music on platforms like Spotify, I’ve heard artists make way less money through streaming. What do you all think—is it better for exposure or worse for their wallets?

I totally get what you mean! Platforms like Spotify make it super easy to find new music, but it’s tough knowing that artists don’t earn much from streaming. While it helps them reach more listeners, many musicians struggle financially because the payout per stream is so low. It feels like a double-edged sword—great for exposure but not so great for their wallets. I think it’s important to support artists directly, like buying their merch or going to shows!
