Was bored at work and a thought popped in my head. How would you make a pizza themed burger? I would mix ground beef with Italian sausage to form the burger patties. Have a marinara sauce ready along with mushrooms and mozzarella cheese. The bun would be of a natural bread roll cut in half and toasted with a garlic butter. Greens would be spinach. Perhaps substitute the garlic butter for an aioli.
Mixing beef with Italian sausage is a great idea. I’d totally go for that garlic butter aioli twist too. Sounds like a pizza party in burger form!
