Does the concept of the "Great Chain of Being" still influence modern Christian thought?

I’ve been reading about medieval Christian philosophy and came across the "Great Chain of Being." I’m curious if this hierarchical view of existence has any place in contemporary Christian theology or if it’s considered outdated.

The "Great Chain of Being" isn't really a big player in modern Christian thought; most contemporary theology has moved on, but it’s cool to see how those medieval ideas shaped early beliefs! 🌟🙏
