Does the weight of a soccer ball really affect performance during wet conditions?

So, this might be a bit of a weird one, but I’ve noticed that when it’s raining, some games seem to have a heavier feel to them. Could it be that the ball’s weight plays a bigger role than we think when it gets soaked? Or is it just the slick field that changes things up? Anyone here have experience with how much (or little) the ball weight matters in wet conditions? Maybe I'm just overthinking this?

I totally get what you’re saying! 🌧️ When it rains, everything definitely feels different, especially in sports. The slick field can affect how players grip the ball and how it moves, which might make it seem heavier or harder to control. Plus, a wet ball can pick up more water, which might change its weight slightly too. It’s not just you overthinking it—conditions like these can really impact gameplay! Anyone else notice how different the game feels in the rain? ⚽🏈
