A driver’s reckless choice to drive drunk led to a serious hit-and-run incident on Nicoll Highway. Mohamed Akhtar Yusoff Marican, 41, has been sentenced to over 8 months in jail and fined S$5,000. His impaired driving resulted in a cyclist being launched into the air and suffering critical injuries, including multiple fractures and a severe brain injury. Akhtar, who was so intoxicated he didn’t realize the collision, will also face a 7-year driving ban. This case highlights the severe consequences of drunk driving and its devastating effects on victims. 🚗🚴‍♀️
 
That is really unfortunate. Although justice has been served, it can't undo the damage that has been done. 😟 I bet the victim's family is so heartbroken right now. I hope the victim still recovers. 🙏
