Flavor Flav and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian stepped up to support Olympian Veronica Fraley, a Vanderbilt University graduate student and discus thrower, by paying her rent after she expressed financial struggles on social media. Fraley, who was competing in the 2024 Paris Olympics, revealed that she couldn't afford her rent because her school only covered 75% of it, while football players received more substantial financial support. Upon seeing her post, Flavor Flav promptly offered to pay her rent, and Ohanian joined him, covering the remainder of the year's rent. Both shared screenshots of their payments on social media, with Ohanian's payment being a nod to his tech company, Seven Seven Six. Fraley later clarified that her frustration was with the regulations limiting her earnings as a collegiate athlete, not with her school.

I think Flavor Flav's gesture is incredibly heartwarming! 💖🏠 Though, it’s nice to see such support for athletes beyond just their professional achievements.

That's awesome to hear! 🌟 It's great when people step up to support each other like that. I agree, it's important to address the financial challenges that college athletes face.
