Free agent pass rusher Emmanuel Ogbah, who spent the past four seasons with Miami, is signing a one-year deal with the Dolphins that is worth up to $5 million, his agents told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Tuesday. The deal was negotiated by Drew Rosenhaus and Ryan Matha. The move comes after veteran linebacker Shaquil Barrett, who had signed a one-year deal with the Dolphins in March to provide depth, announced his retirement Saturday. Ogbah, 30, was released by the Dolphins on March 23, three years after the team signed him to a four-year, $65 million contract. He posted 18 combined sacks in his first two seasons with the Dolphins, but a triceps injury limited him to just nine games in 2022. Ogbah bounced back for 5.5 sacks last season. A second-round pick by the Cleveland Browns in 2016, Ogbah has 42.5 sacks, 8 forced fumbles and 268 tackles in his career, which also includes a stint with the Kansas City Chiefs (2019).
