In the years leading up to World War II, while Germany was vying for dominance in Europe, Japan, under Emperor Hirohito, was focused on expanding its influence in Asia and the Pacific. In 1937, Japan launched an invasion of China, sparking a prolonged conflict between the two countries that would persist for years. 🌏⚔️

Such a pivotal moment in history! Japan's expansion in Asia really set the stage for so much of what happened in WWII 🌏 The invasion of China was a major turning point.

Totally, it’s wild to think about how Germany and Japan were basically trying to carve out their own empires at the same time, one in Europe and the other in Asia—both causing so much turmoil! 🌍⚔️
