Giraffes Only Sleep for a Few Minutes a Day

Giraffes are unique in many ways, but one of the most surprising facts about them is their sleep habits 🦒💤. These towering creatures sleep for only about 30 minutes to two hours a day, often in short naps of just a few minutes. Their sleeping position is equally fascinating: sometimes they sleep standing up, but when they do lie down, they tuck their necks over their backs. This is likely an adaptation to help avoid predators.

That's surprising! I'm curious why they sleep for a short time per day. What do they do during the rest of the day?
