Great white sharks have an incredible sense of smell! They can detect a single drop of blood in 25 gallons (100 liters) of water and even pick up on tiny traces from as far as 3 miles (5 km) away. Their keen detection skills come from an organ called the "olfactory bulb," which helps them zero in on potential prey.
