Last week, I found myself in a bit of a predicament. I had some ground beef in the fridge that had been there for about five days. I wasn't sure if it was still good to use. After a bit of research and a sniff test, I decided to cook it thoroughly and use it in a chili. It turned out great, and I didn't experience any issues.
