Have we hit a new era of media-controlled conflicts?

I’ve been noticing how conflicts are framed so differently depending on which media source you follow. Obviously, media narratives have always influenced public perception, but are we at a point where wars and geopolitical tensions are being shaped more by information control than by actual battlefield events? Feels like a new level of soft power is at play here. What do you guys think?
