Mediators from Qatar, Egypt, and the US are making a last-ditch effort to revive stalled ceasefire talks between Israel and Hamas, with a high-stakes meeting set for Thursday. The talks are critical as tensions rise with the threat of an Iranian attack on Israel following the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, which has added further complications. Although a deal proposed by President Biden in May remains on the table, unresolved differences over prisoner exchanges, troop withdrawals, and control over Gaza crossings continue to hinder progress. Both sides are under pressure, but it's unclear if an agreement will be reached in time to prevent escalation
