A 57-year-old housewife was shot dead while doing laundry in her house in Barangay Del Remedio, San Pablo City, Laguna in the Philippines on Aug. 31. 
Police named the victim as Zoila. As per their investigations, the victim was washing clothes on the terrace when a man riding a motorcycle parked near their house. He went near the victim and shot her up close.
The suspect then left immediately and Zoila was rushed to the hospital by her relatives where she was declared dead.

My thoughts go out to Zoila's family during this unimaginable time. It’s hard to believe such violence can happen in a place as ordinary as your own home. I hope the authorities find the person responsible and bring them to justice. May Zoila rest in peace
