On Friday, CrowdStrike issued an update to its Falcon Endpoint Protection software that created mayhem to companies and organizations in IT areas of different specialties and belonging to diverse branches, such as banking, healthcare, and airlines. The upgrade of CrowdStrike’s Falcon system was to blame for an extensive failure over processing systems that run on Windows: it made individual computers show the ‘blue screen of death. ’ The incompatibility of Falcon updates and Windows created reboot loops as well as restricted access. CrowdStrike is currently trying to revert the said update while Microsoft has confirmed that their cloud services were impacted, though they’re handling it as a different incident from the Azure and Microsoft 365 ones.
