Reading about responsible tourism really made me reflect on my own travel habits. On one trip to Barcelona, I made a conscious effort to support local businesses and respect the culture, rather than just hitting the usual tourist spots. I learned some basic Catalan phrases, which delighted the locals, and discovered hidden gems that aren't in the guidebooks. It was an enriching experience that showed me the importance of traveling mindfully and respectfully.
