Here's an interesting fact about hyenas: Despite their reputation as scavengers, spotted hyenas are actually skilled hunters, capable of taking down prey as large as wildebeest or zebras. They have powerful jaws and teeth adapted for crushing bones, allowing them to access the nutrient-rich marrow inside. Hyenas are also highly social animals, living in hierarchical groups called clans, led by a dominant female.
