Is There an Unspoken Etiquette for Leftover Cheese?

So I was at this get-together, and there was a cheese platter...the next day, I was wondering, like, is it normal to pack up the leftover cheese and keep it for yourself? Or is that something you leave behind? I know some people go for the charcuterie leftovers without hesitation, but is there some kind of cheese etiquette I'm missing here? What do y'all do with leftover fancy cheese after a party?

It’s totally normal to be unsure about cheese etiquette! Usually, the host keeps the leftovers, but if they offer, definitely take some home. Fancy cheese is a great next-day treat!
