Bird flu has literally gone viral with over three years of the outbreak with the virus worsening in the US and affecting food animals and production. More than 80 million domesticated birds, thousands of wild birds, and about thirty different species of mammals, one of which was a polar bear, have been reported to be affected.

It is now spreading among the dairy cows; it has hit the herds in 12 different states within the Marchs. The most recent animal which has been diagnosed was an alpaca at a farm in Idaho. “It’s gargantuan the area of the continent that is now affected by the disease,” Julianna Lenoch, the national coordinator for the Department of Agriculture’s wildlife disease program stated.
