Mickey Mouse was the first animated character to get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

He received this honor on November 18, 1978, in celebration of his 50th anniversary. Mickey’s star is located at 6925 Hollywood Boulevard, right in front of the famous Grauman’s Chinese Theatre.
