A strong typhoon hit the tropical vacation island of Hainan in China on Friday. 
This comes after it struck the south of Hong Kong, leading around a million people in the nation's south to evacuate. 
China's meteorological agency reported that Yagi was the most powerful autumn typhoon to strike the country. The Hainan province’s meteorological service said the typhoon had winds of up to 245 kph (152 mph) close to its center.
Due to this, most parts of Hainan experienced heavy rain and some areas experienced power interruptions.

Glad to hear that so many people evacuated in Hong Kong. Hopefully, the damage in Hainan isn't too bad.
