Istanbul's recent restoration efforts have unveiled hidden gems and overlooked historical layers. Walking through the newly restored areas, I felt like I was stepping back in time. The blend of ancient and modern elements creates a unique atmosphere. One of the highlights was discovering a beautifully preserved Byzantine mosaic in a small, tucked-away church. Istanbul's commitment to preserving its heritage is truly commendable.
