North Korea to Reopen for International Tourism This Winter 🌏

North Korea: Limited international tourism to resume by year-end 2024 – almost five years since its borders were shut because of Covid-19. Last week two Chinese tour companies now operating in North Korea, Beijing based Koryo Tours and Shenyang based KTG Tours, said that tours to Samjiyon, the North Korean city that is the supposed birth place of Kim Jong Il will recommence in December. Whereas Samjiyon is named as the main destination, there is still hope that Pyongyang and other regions may also be increasing. This comes after the country has been on a level of much isolation and recently only small Russian tour groups have been coming to the country. The reopening is intended to attract tourists and, therefore, revenue for the country even if North Korea faces current international sanctions and stringent restrictions on U. S passports. 🇰🇵🌍

Wow, North Korea reopening for international tourism is big news! 🎉 It’s interesting that they’re starting with tours to Samjiyon, the birthplace of Kim Jong Il. Let’s hope this is just the beginning and we see more destinations opening up soon. 🌏

That's wild news! 🧐 It's kinda surprising to see North Korea slowly opening up again, especially with all the current restrictions—might be a pretty rare chance for those curious enough to visit, even though it feels a bit surreal given the past few years. 🌍
