Tropical Storm Debby unleashed relentless rain on August 9, 2024, causing severe flooding across the Northeast. In New York and Pennsylvania, emergency crews are performing dramatic rescues as over 167,000 people face power outages and critical infrastructure is heavily damaged. Steuben County has seen massive flooding, with roads impassable and multiple evacuations. In Vermont, flooding has compounded the damage from earlier storms, and North Carolina has faced power outages and tornado damage. States of emergency have been declared, and rescue operations are ongoing as communities confront this major disaster. 
Tropical Storm Debby really hit hard, and the flooding and power outages are just intense. My thoughts are with everyone affected, and I hope the rescue efforts bring relief soon.
